Mark Allen grew up in eastern Kentucky in a musical family that sang in church. By twelve he had given his life to Christ and begun learning piano, later playing with southern gospel groups.
After his life went off the rails, Mark was incarcerated — an experience that reshaped his calling. In prison, he began writing songs that point people to Jesus. Over the years he has written more than 300 songs, many sung in worship services inside and beyond the prison walls.
Mark’s desire isn’t spotlight but surrender: to glorify God and encourage others. His story is a reminder that even in the darkest places, true freedom is found in Christ.
Mark has written 300+ songs. Streaming is available on select platforms, with more coming soon.
